The pre-release problems that Auto Nagar Surya faced have been haunting the movie post release too.
The Naga Chaitanya and Samantha starrer hit the marquees on June 27th much to the delight of the makers but the film has opened to mixed reviews and also luke warm response during its opening weekend.
However, the film director Dev Katta seems to optimistic about the box office result of the movie and pretty confident that ANS will do well in the coming days. There is also a reason for this – the movie went under scissors and got trimmed by over 12 minutes.
Dev Katta also tweeted a reply to the critics. He posted: “I don’t agree wth all d frnds who criticise ratings & critics. prasthanam was not rated above 3. so no one does it on purpose. When there is life in a movie, it will find itself no matter what. I respect the fact everyone is doing their job as best they can. One thing I find common btwn critics & flmmakrs is tht v both face arrows..bt stndng on opp ends whn a movie releases:)”
We too hope that Dev Katta wins eventually!
