How genuine is the number game?

How genuine is the number game?

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan voted as the fourth beautiful woman, XYZ voted as the sexiest… these number games have caught up with the common man rather the general public who idolise film celebrities.

It is quite amazing to see the active participation of people in such polls that ranks actors and actresses on various factors such as sex quotient, great body, beautiful face, bikini bodies so on and so forth. At the same time we wonder as to how believable/genuine these polls or number games are in the first place. Who actually rank the celebrities on various parameters? And if the results are prompt at all or not?

Most of such polls are featured online by various sections of media and recently Star India issued a list of heroes who have the highest fan following and the results have posed many suspicions in our minds. As expected the three Khans from Bollywood gain the top three spots followed by Tamil actor Vijay and then we see Pawan Kalyan but to our astonishment Mahesh Babu who is the current reigning star of Tollywood was not even mentioned in this list.

Our question is how can handful internet users votes’ be the deciding factor for such a contest? The majority lies outside the virtual world you see.
