The craze was set for much hyped Krrish 3 long ago. There has been much talk about this movie. Especially children have shown much of interest towards this latest installment of the Koi Mil Geya series.
Super hero v/s Super villain –this is what you can see in the movie. Krrish 3 is indeed a super hero film. To be more specific a mere reversion to the creaky family entertainers Bollywood used to make. Equipped with special powers, the hero is pretty atypical when he delivers such mawkish dialogue about fathers and mothers and courage and all.
Certainly superheroes have made their presence felt in Hindi cinema for decades. But none of them has been able to incorporate technology in such a professional manner. With so much of huge technology jumps and derring-do-stunts, the film has easily become the slickest of all. Then again such a mega budget film is not free from being marred by tackiness as it turns out to be effusively and insincerely emotional at times and we can’t help but fall on the ground with a thud.
It goes without saying that amongst the Bollywood superstar only Hrithik is the perfect match for the role. He has the body and muscle to easily skin into such character. With his brawny articulated chest, fluorescent complexion, well toned physique, he can easily to floor the audience down with his Greek God image even without the so called mask and cape. Then again the ensemble is great and spectacular and we do not eye on his articulated styled long hair, and his stunts like flying in the air and rescuing the children and many more. He is earnest and likeable as he usually is, but failed to rise above the stereotyped mothballed treatment. Hrithik’s father – Rakesh Roshan, who is creator of the script and the director of the movie, should have allowed the superhero to do more and music is tad terrible. We knew Rakesh has an ear for music.
But the director did not fabricate anything new. Rather he stuck to his old story and dragged it forward. The first installment of the series was soppy but sweet revolving round the plot that includes socially challenged but brilliant Rohit who gives begets Krishna star in Krrish 3. In both cases Hrithik played the hero while Priyanka was cast in the 3rd installment as Krishna’s TV reported wife, who has to look on admiringly as Hrithik does his standard dance number. He is still well skilled when it comes to dancing yet the dancing lacks the spike, and the songs are not up to the mark.
Vivek Oberoy is equally not so good. He rather will do well if he continues with his gangster films because that’s where his anger, prowess and skill are well suited and he rather looks good too in those films indeed.
With Krrish 3 we can say, The plot could have been far better. It lacks the originality and creativity. However, technicians have done tremendous job indeed.
