On the eve of Assembly and Parliament elections in Telangana and Seema Andhra, Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce had declared April 30th and May 7th. This decision is taken to facilitate all the member of the industry to exercise their right to vote. So, there will not be any film shootings on those days. Also film theaters will remain closed on these days till 6 PM in the evening. A similar decision was also taken in Kollywood today.

This is one of the directives of Election Commission taken to improve voting percentage across the country. All the industries including IT firms have to declare election day as a paid holiday. EC has communicated to all the industries that strict action will be taken on those who are not giving holiday on that day.
