Movie starts off with Krishna (Prince), an award winning short film maker, narrating his story to a goon whose planning to make a movie with an upcoming director. Krishna (Prince) a happy go lucky guy in search of a perfect girl (A virgin) as his life partner. But he has theory to find out a perfect girl. In this process he decides to go after two girls and test them according to his theory.
Lalitha (Manasa), is a showy girl falls in love with Krishna, But she fails his test of perfect girl. Now Krishna shifts his focus to Anuradha (Dimple Chopra) and instantly likes her . She even succeeds in Krishna’s perfect girl theory. but Lalitha (Manasa) leaves negative impact on Anu (Dimple Chopde) regarding Krishna. How Krishna tackles hostel girls and impresses Anu forms rest of the storyline.
Coming to performances, Neeku Naku Dash Dash – Bus Stop fame Prince works hard to give character to his amoral character. Dimple Chopde looks sensible in the second half, other wise she is just average. Manasa is good in parts. Rest of the characters are wasted by poor character arc.
Darling Swamy’s direction is amateurish. The story got a decent twist at the interval where its revealed that Goon is brother of Lalitha. The director failed to justify the teenage drama that ran in the entire second half. He tried to show that all the characters are good in their own way. Screenplay of the film is very sluggish and boring at times. The characterizations in this film are half-baked ones. He inserted too many unnecessary songs to make this film appear a musical. Music by Sai Karthik is average. “Anu Anu” received decent response from the audience. Dialogues are very middling. Cinematography is very neat. Editing could have been crispier. Production values of Good Cinema Group are fair.
This film is just made to cash in on the craze Adult content. The audiences are clueless about what’s happening on the screen for the first one hour. All those emotions that the audience are supposed to be rooting for are simply absent in Romance. It’s a harmless piece of film making that doesn’t nauseate you in away, but the suavity of which will make you stretch back on your seats and close your eyes with a suspire.
