It is known that Samantha indirect comments on 1 Nenokkadine Poster buzzed on social media, Mahesh babu fans shows their anger on her on the same media. Interestingly Sekhar Kammula seconded Samantha with his feelings on this succession of incidents, knowingly that he might have to face same anger from Mahesh Babu fans, but one can see he shared his feelings much more politely… here is his comments on the issue..
Just saw the poster of 1 Nenokkadine and read what Samantha tweeted…….I share the same views….it is regressive, no doubt about it…but what is shocking is the ruckus that is being created against her…….Its her opinion and she has every right to express it…and it has nothing to do with Mahesh Babu. Its how a woman has been projected on a poster and how she felt about it.
This is not the first time we have seen posters like this or films that protray woman regressively but its heartening to see a main stream heroine react. Manam brathike unnam anna feeling ecchindi… hats off Samantha for actually starting a debate…this is good for our industry…its a great sign….
When a top heroine sees a poster and feels that women are shown regressively, it is time for all of us to think about it rather than attack her. Perhaps many women feel the same way about the way we show them in our movies…
Sekhar Kammula is presently wrapping up his upcoming movie Anamika., all the best to Sekhar Kammula and Anamika team.
